2nd October 2010: Laura Noonan reports in the Irish Independent that “Nama will not be going ahead with the third tranche of borrowings, which was due to transfer over on Thursday [30th September 2010], and is proceeding on an institution-by-institution basis”
25th August, 2010. The press release and accompanying detail from NAMA in respect of tranche 2 which was released on the 23rd August, 2010 provides some further detail on tranche 3. NAMA says in its press release “The due diligence and valuation of the third tranche of loans with an aggregate nominal value of €12 billion is already underway, and we envisage that this should be completed by end September.” NAMA says that the first three tranches will encompass 100 out of the estimated 1500 borrowers. 12th July, 2010. The Independent reports that tranche 3 will now have a value of €11bn and will be transferred by the end of August 2010. There is a new breakdown of tranche 3 from the summary of tranche 1 which was produced on 10th May 2010 (but because it was buried in a 30th March 2010 press release, it has only now come to light and it shows):
5th June, 2010. Expected to account for €8bn of gross loans and to be transferred by the end of July 2010 – from NAMA Chairman, Frank Daly’s speech to the Certified Public Accountants Annual Conference “Transfer of the second tranche of loans, totalling about €13 billion, is likely to take place over the coming weeks and with the expected transfer of about €8 billion in the third tranche in July”
